Dear Diary,
Today’s writing tasks are quite challenging, the focus being on point of view. I’m playing around with 2nd person, just because I wouldn’t normally choose that.
Very tricky. Always interesting to read what others do with the same task. Some are clearly more practiced than others at writing in a certain style. I’ve no doubt that some of the students are going to have a writing career.
What surprises me though is that there must be quite a few students who aren’t sharing their work at all. I can’t understand getting into a workshop without showing at least some of your words. If no one is around to hear the tree fall…
But then, maybe that’s just me. A large part of taking any writing workshop is to be read and get feedback. Otherwise, it’s just me swirling over myself, alone. I need company sometimes.
