When the doctor told me the risks and why a mastectomy would be best, I thought, “Of course, it would have to be the perkier one that has to go.”

It’s important to laugh through the pain. Going through chemo during the pandemic isn’t easy, but drawing this helps me get to a place where I’m ok.

I learned that in New Zealand, there are special trees that seem to hold and support each other....
